Michelle is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School (Juris Doctor), the University of Toronto (Honours Bachelor of Arts, with distinction), and La Cité (French language certificate). At Osgoode, she finished in the top 8% of her class and won the highest award for top marks combined with her contributions to the community, amongst other awards. She summered and articled at Devry Smith Frank LLP (‘DSF’) before being called to the Bar in 2019.
Michelle has litigated contractual, employment, property, subrogation, construction, insurance, motor vehicle, banking and recovery, and corporate litigation issues. She has a broad commercial litigation practice and has handled complex motions such as summary judgments, oppression remedies, and relief from forfeiture.
As a condo lawyer, Michelle acts for condominium corporations and condominium owners in a variety of matters and processes. She assists condominium corporations in contract, by-law and rule drafting and review, employment issues, business transactions and a variety of litigation matters. She also represents unit owners in their disputes with condominium corporations dealing with a wide range of issues and disagreements.
Michelle has appeared before the Ontario Divisional Court, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Small Claims Court, Provincial Offences Court, the License Appeal Tribunal, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board.
She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Advocates Society.
