Toronto family law lawyer, Mark Seymour, joined Devry Smith Frank LLP in early 2017. Mark is a dual-qualified lawyer who is licenced to practice in Ontario, Canada, and England & Wales. Mark has successfully practiced family and matrimonial law throughout his career in Brighton (UK), London (UK) and now Toronto.
Mark graduated with LL.B. Honours in Law from the University of Wales, Cardiff, where he was twice the recipient of Law Student of the Year. Mark was called to the Bar of England & Wales by The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 2009.
Mark relocated to Toronto in early 2014 and commenced his Ontario practice at one of the most prestigious family law boutiques in Canada before moving to DSF in 2017.
Mark regularly advocates on behalf of his clients in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice and has previously been before the Central Family Court in London, UK.
Mark is happy to advise and represent clients on a wide variety of matrimonial issues including divorce, custody and access, equalization of net family property, child and spousal support, drafting of and advice on marriage contracts (pre-nups), separation agreements, cohabitation agreements, financial statements, court applications and written argument for litigation matters.
In his spare time Mark likes to spend time with his fashion executive wife and two young boys, boxes and is a fan of Fulham FC, Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs, TFC, Detroit Lions, F1, tennis, boxing, and horse racing.
