Alex Shchukin joined Devry Smith Frank LLP “DSF” in 2025 as an associate in our bankruptcy and insolvency department. He graduated with a BBA Honours from the Schulich School of Business before earning his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the bar in 2025.
He brings experience in insolvency, debt recovery, and commercial litigation, having drafted motions, appeared in both Small Claims Court and the Superior Court of Justice, and negotiated repayment and settlement agreements. His work has included preparing litigation materials across a range of proceedings involving mortgage enforcement, civil fraud, and unsecured debts.
Alex has contributed to strategic planning on litigation files, conducted judgment-debtor examinations, and advised on file merits for institutional clients. His prior work also includes corporate-commercial support such as drafting service agreements, reviewing incorporation compliance, and advising on contractual liability clauses.
He approaches insolvency matters with a client-focused approach, drawing on both legal and business training to support efficient resolution of enforcement and recovery proceedings.
