Abby Leung joined Devry Smith Frank LLP (‘DSF’) as a summer student in 2021.
Abby completed her Honours Bachelor Degree specializing in Political Science at the University of Toronto where she graduated as the top student from the Department of Political Science. At the University of Toronto, she advocated for the expansion of the Public Law minor program as the Director of Public Law for the Political Science Students’ Association and oversaw the publication of political science research papers in conjunction with the Department of Political Science. In 2019, Abby began to attend Osgoode Hall Law School on an entrance scholarship and is in her third year of the J.D. program.
Abby is very involved in Osgoode’s student community. During her first year at Osgoode Hall, she volunteered as a legal researcher researching fetal alcohol syndrome disorder and its effects on the criminal justice system for FASD and the Justice System and as a caseworker for Osgoode’s Community Legal Aid and Services Program. She is currently serving as an Editor for Osgoode’s award-winning legal blog theCourt.ca and as a Deputy Sports Editor for Obiter Dicta, North America’s oldest law school newspaper. She is a member of the winning team at the Julius Alexander Isaac Diversity Moot as a legal researcher. Abby will continue her passion for student involvement as the incoming Co-President of Osgoode’s Asian Law Students’ Association.
Outside of law school, Abby loves to play piano, dance, travel and cheering on the Toronto Raptors.
