Kathleen Judd joined Devry Smith Frank LLP (‘DSF’) as a summer law student in our Barrie office. She completed her BSc (Hons) in Criminology/Psychology at Lakehead University in Orillia and decided to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer. She is currently going into her final year at Bora Laskin Faculty of Law in Thunder Bay and will be a 2023 call to the bar candidate.
Kathleen is active in her law school. During her first year, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada working on several projects aimed at assisting those facing access to Justice difficulties. The following year, she took on the role of Dean Fellow, for Tort Law, and assisted first-year students learning in this area, which included assisting students with transitioning into legal studies.
Prior to law school and working in the legal sector, Kathleen worked for many years in advertising and marketing and appreciates the importance of public messaging in social media.
She has a great interest in human rights law, disability rights law, elder law and family law. She understands the need for people to have access to Justice.
As a Summer Law Student with Devry Smith Frank LLP (‘DSF’), Kathleen is thrilled to be working with the team and is motivated to continue gaining experience in various practice areas such as Employment Law, Real Estate Law, and Family Law, while continuing to build and maintain relationships with clients.
