Ishita Chopra joined Devry Smith Frank LLP (“DSF”) in 2025 as an associate in our wills and estates department. Ishita is passionate about estate planning, administration, guardianship and capacity related litigation. She is compassionate and takes time to understand client’s individual needs to provide strategic advice in protecting their legacies.
Ishita prepares Wills, Power of Attorneys and Trusts. She regularly assists estate trustees, guiding them through estate administration process, obtaining a certificate of appointment of estate trustee and advising on various estate administration issues, including assessment and distribution of the estate assets, estate accounting and executor’s compensation.
Ishita represents clients seeking to be appointed as a guardian. She is empathetic and brings expertise to every matter she is working on while successfully protecting rights and best interests of vulnerable individuals.
She is currently enrolled in the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) program to further develop her expertise in this specialized field. Ishita is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
Beyond office and courtroom, Ishita’s lifelong passion for theatre has cultivated strong communication skills and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life. In her leisure time, she loves to travel, cook various cuisines and acquiring new skills, swimming is her current pursuit.
