Emma Bennet Emma Bennet joined Devry Smith Frank LLP as a paralegal in 2023 and is a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with a passion for the legal field. Before joining Devry Smith Frank LLP, Emma worked at Suite Excel Collections Canada Inc, where she honed her legal skills. In her role there, Emma worked remotely with minimal supervision, drafting letters and filing court/tribunal documents. She also attended hearings/tribunals for the Landlord and Tenant Board, advocating on behalf of clients. Emma’s administrative duties included answering queries via phone and email, arranging posts and deliveries, and maintaining organization systems to ensure everything was accurate. She was also responsible for managing a set of clients by assessing, providing, and completing the documentation of the service and monitoring any updates. Emma always met strict deadlines with court documents and hearings to ensure a high service level. At Devry Smith Frank LLP, Emma provides essential support to the firm’s lawyers and clients. She manages case files, drafts legal documents, and conducts legal research. Emma also organizes and schedules meetings and corresponds with clients and other stakeholders. Wendy Cornacchia Wendy joined Devry Smith Frank LLP as a senior paralegal with over 25 years of experience advocating for the injured whether it be through her daily interactions with insurance adjusters, defence counsel, mediators, arbitrators, or by attendances at FSCO and the Social Services Tribunal. A graduate of the Law Clerk program at Humber College and a Licensed Paralegal since 2008, Wendy has continued her education by taking various courses offered by the Institute of Law Clerks, University of Toronto, The Advocates Society, Law Society of Ontario, Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) and The Medical-Legal Society. She has most recently completed the Osgoode Hall Law School Professional Development Certificate Program, “Handling Provincial Offences Court, Small Claims Court & Landlord, and Tenant Board Matters”. Wendy has also been a presenter at OTLA, The Toronto Rehabilitation Institute Chronic Pain Program and she has contributed to in-house newsletters. Nikki Alteen Nikki joined Devry Smith Frank (DSF) LLP in 2013 as a Paralegal. She brings over fifteen years of experience in debt collections and unsecured debt recovery and three years of experience in commercial litigation and small claims court. Nikki Alteen graduated with honours from the Paralegal Studies program at Algonquin Careers Academy in 2010 and obtained her Paralegal License through the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2014.
