About
Michael Goodman is an articling student with Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF). He graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2026. Prior to law school, Michael graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2023 with a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies, earning an Honours Specialization in Finance and Administration, as well as a Major in the Philosophy of Commerce.
Michael maintains a strong interest in corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on business transactions and regulatory matters. During law school, he engaged in coursework examining the development and implementation of artificial intelligence across private and public sectors, and its growing use in the legal profession.
Michael spent two summers as an intern with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. on their commercial insurance team in the brokerage division, learning about the insurance industry. He also spent a year as a student at Western serving as Vice-President of Finance and Secretary-Treasurer for Huron College’s student union. Michael is excited to return to DSF as an articling student and gain exposure to a wide variety of legal areas after spending a summer with the firm as a non-law summer student.
Outside of the office, Michael enjoys running, spending time with family, friends, his dog Abbie, and travelling.
