Contracts are not always as clear cut as we may want to believe, and a contract cannot prevent someone from taking certain unwarranted actions. Because of this, disputes involving breaches of contracts are common matters that can result in complex litigation.
At Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF), we have extensive experience working for a wide range of clients who have either had a contract breached or who have been accused of breaching a contract. Our litigation lawyers regularly advise individuals, corporations, and small businesses

What to Do When a Contract is Breached?
More often than not, a breach will be resolved with monetary payment. However, there are also circumstances where a person can be ordered to fulfill the terms of a contract, under the legal concept of “specific performance.” This is, essentially, the idea that each party in a contract is required to live up to their end of the agreement. When a breach occurs, the court can order a party to fulfill their obligations, make payments or some combination of the two.
At DSF, we know it is frustrating whenever you experience a contract dispute. Our team of contract lawyers will work with you to determine the best way to recover the damages you deserve while helping to expedite the litigation process.
