WHAT TO DO WHEN A CONTRACT IS BREACHED?

More often than not, a breach will be resolved with monetary payment. However, there are also circumstances where a person can be ordered to fulfill the terms of a contract, under the legal concept of “specific performance.” This is, essentially, the idea that each party in a contract is required to live up to their end of the agreement. When a breach occurs, the court can order a party to fulfill their obligations, make payments or some combination of the two.
