TORONTO CONSTRUCTION LAWYER

Adam Grossi is a partner at Devry Smith Frank LLP (‘DSF’). He is the head of the commercial real estate and development group at DSF.

Adam represents clients from across the construction industry, including owners, lenders, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, architects and engineers. Adam’s areas of expertise include construction liens, contract development, including drafting and negotiating contracts, breach of trust claims, deficiency claims, delay claims, performance bond claims, labour and material bond claims, receiverships and the appointment of trustees in construction projects, bid and tender disputes, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

Adam has long-standing relationships with his clients, who view Adam as being an integral part of their businesses from an advisory perspective. As a result and due to Adam’s practical and business-driven approach, Adam very often provides legal and strategic advice on all matters that affect his clients’ businesses. Adam is very attentive to his clients’ needs and prides himself on the fact that he provides prompt legal advice. Adam assists his clients to plan and strategize with respect to the anticipation of any and all future issues or hurdles that may influence the course their businesses. Adam works closely with his clients to help achieve their goals, with particular emphasis on the construction projects that his clients are involved in.

Adam has appeared before various boards, tribunals and courts, including the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Adam remains actively involved in the construction and development community by being involved in industry-specific groups such as the the Building Industry and Land Development Association, and the Ontario Bar Association (Construction Law Section). Additionally, Adam is involved with various charitable organizations in his community such as Villa Charities, Mackenzie Health and the Sinai Health Foundation. Adam also supports a number of charitable foundations and events such as the Vita Nova Foundation, The Stop Community Food Centre, The Becel Ride for Heart, and The Ride to Conquer Cancer.
